Taught to knit by my grandma at a tender age (8 or 11, I honestly don’t remember), hating it (dark green probably acrylic and tiny needles), only to pick it back up at 17 when hand knit mohair sweaters were all the rage (pfft, I can do that!), I never thought I’d find myself designing, teaching, or helping others with their knitting. Funny where life takes you sometimes :)

I was fortunate enough to work as the Knitting Doctor at various yarn stores in the Bay Area for 10 years before getting my own yarn store, which I sadly had to close when I found out I had breast cancer in 2015.

I couldn’t even look at knitting for a solid year (closing the store was traumatic), but I eventually picked it up again, and I’m back… with a recent penchant for crochet, at that! :)
