Mooring lines is a heavily cabled earflap hat. The hat is knit from the bottom up starting with each earflap having 1 cable, then attached to what will become a warm squishy hat. The pattern includes directions for 4 sizes; baby, child, adult, and adult large Cables are worked no more than every other row to give your hands a break, but this pattern is for intermediate knitters. Pattern incorporates stockinette, garter, moss, seed stitches and cabling. The 4 sizes decrease into 2 different “north star” cable motifs at the top of the hat. Baby size uses the earflaps as a chin strap.
