Morris is a textured cardigan worked seamlessly from the bottom up. The lattice patterning on the body is worked using twisted stitches – no cable needle is required. Seed stitch, 2x2 ribbing, wide cables, and garter stitch lines add interest to this richly patterned sweater.

This piece is inspired by my knitting friend, Susan, and a sweater of hers that she wanted to recreate. She is a fearless knitter and is a source of much inspiration in general!

I love Tosh Wool Cotton for this short-sleeved cardigan, because it adds to the seasonal versatility of the piece. I’m also a sucker for a plant/animal fiber blend! If you’re looking at another yarn, most any plied DK weight yarn will do. I’d avoid using anything too drapey or summery, such as 100% linen or bamboo.
