PATTERN NOTES :
These spiralling top down colourful socks are a real delight to knit and a great destasher project!
Starting with a solid Christmassy dark green, they quickly turn into a festive four colour braid, each with their own tassel decoration before swirling down the foot in an addictive sequence of four contrasting colours and ending with a right and left shaped toe.
With four balls of yarn on the go, this might be a project that you do at home or on a long voyage … possibly to see family and friends this festive season.

One tip : Do not twist your threads, like in intarsia, when you get to a colour change. Simply pick up the next colour in the sequence and do not pull too tight.

NOTES SUR LE MODÈLE :
Ces chaussettes colorées à spirale, tricotées du haut vers le bas, sont un vrai plaisir à réaliser et constituent un excellent projet pour utiliser les restes de laine !
On commence avec un vert foncé festif, puis le motif se transforme rapidement en une tresse colorée et joyeuse à quatre teintes, chacune ornée d’un petit pompon décoratif, avant de descendre en spirale sur le pied dans une séquence addictive de quatre couleurs contrastantes, pour se terminer par une pointe différenciée entre la chaussette droite et la chaussette gauche.
Utilisant quatre pelotes en même temps, c’est un projet idéal à faire à la maison ou pendant un long voyage… peut-être pour aller rendre visite à la famille et aux amis pendant la période des fêtes !

Petit conseil : ne pas croiser les fils, comme en jacquard ou en intarsia, lorsqu’on change de couleur. Il suffit de reprendre la couleur suivante dans la séquence sans trop serrer.
