Mystery Mountain is the original name of Mount Waddington, the highest mountain in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia. It was first spotted in the 1920s, in an uncharted area, by Don and Phyllis Munday, a Canadian couple who were climbers and geographers. They named it « Mystery Mountain ». They climbed the lower summit in 1928. The highest summit was climbed in 1936 by Fritz Weissner.

Mystery Mountain est l’ancien nom du Mont Waddington, le plus haut sommet de la chaîne Côtière de Colombie-Britannique. Il fut aperçu pour la première fois dans les années 1920 par le couple canadien d’alpinistes et géographes Don et Phyllis Munday, qui le surnommèrent « Mystery Mountain ». Ils réussirent à escalader le sommet le plus bas en 1928. Le sommet le plus élevé fut escaladé en 1936 par Fritz Weissner.
