Nel Bosco is a cabled waistcoat worked flat. The pattern, united with the texture and color of the chosen yarn recall the bare branches of the late autumn and winter woods, which intertwine, revealing the gray skies above, often not blue during those seasons, but still charming.

This project is perfect for those who need to warm their torso while keeping their arms free - maybe to knead bread, or to wear a slightly tighter jacket above. It is also very interesting for those who want to approach the two techniques that characterize the processing (the piece worked flat and sewn, the cables) without embarking on something too demanding or big.

We believe the designer will not be offended if we tell you that, if you want, you can easily pick up the armhole stitches and knit a pair of sleeves, placing the decreases in the points you prefer, closing them at the wrist or ¾ lenght, and turning this project into a fitted sweater.

Nel Bosco è un gilet a trecce, lavorato in piano. Il motivo, la consistenza e il colore del filato scelto ricordano i rami spogli del bosco tardo autunnale e invernale, che si intrecciano lasciando intravedere i cieli spesso plumbei ma non privi di fascino.

Questo progetto è perfetto per chi ha bisogno di scaldare il busto tenendo le braccia libere - per impastare, o per indossare una giacca un po’ più attillata. È anche molto interessante per chi vuole approcciare le due tecniche che caratterizzano la lavorazione (il capo lavorato a pezzi, e le trecce) senza imbarcarsi in qualcosa di troppo impegnativo.

Crediamo che il designer non si offenda se vi diciamo che, volendo, potete facilmente riprendere le maglie dello scalfo e lavorare un paio di maniche, piazzando le diminuzioni nei punti che preferite, chiudendole al polso o a ¾, e trasformando questo progetto in un maglioncino attillato.
A seconda della taglia potrebbe essere necessario chiudere meno maglie per la sagomatura di giromanica, spalle e scollo.
Per semplificare le rifiniture è possibile eseguire le diminuzioni all’interno di 2 maglie dalla fine del ferro in modo da ottenere un margine a maglia rasata funzionale per ottenere delle finiture e un bordo I-cord più ordinati.
Quando le diminuzioni interesseranno un motivo a treccia, le maglie della treccia andranno lavorate e maglia rasata.
