The Nest Mittens pattern is a versatile, beginner-friendly design that offers multiple sizes ranging from baby to adult. These mittens are worked in the round, starting with a ribbed cuff for a snug fit. The thumb gusset is shaped for comfort and mobility, and the top is finished seamlessly using the Kitchener Stitch. The mittens are designed to be customizable, allowing for different color combinations and the use of sport or aran weight yarns, making them a great stash-busting project.

Sizing: Baby (Toddler, Kid) (Adult S, Adult M, Adult L)

C1, C2, C3: approximately 15 (20, 30) (40, 50, 60) meters for each color.
Or, you can mix three colors of sport-weight yarn like I did in the sample mittens.
Yardage may vary if your gauge/yarn is different.
The sample used: Two strands of Rosa Pomar “Vovō”, 143m/50g, 100% fine Portuguese wool. In three colors, C1:24, C2:05, C3:04.
Gauge: 20 sts & 28 rounds = 10 cm in stockinette stitch, worked on gauge needles in the round.

Needles:
4 mm DPNs (or a long circular needle for the Magic Loop method).
3.5 mm DPNs or one/two size(s) smaller than gauge needles (or a long circular needle for the Magic Loop method) for the ribbing.
Or adjust the needle size to meet the gauge.
Other notions: stitch markers, darning needle, stitch holders or scrap yarn, measuring tape.
