Nettie scarf
A fun, stashbusting project to use up those scraps and minis! The garter stitch based mesh makes a lighweight fabric with great drape, for a scarf that can be worn in a multitude of ways & makes every outfit a little bit cooler.
One small scarf can be made using 2 x 20g mini skeins, or you could make 1 x big scarf and 1 x small scarf using a single 400m skein of 4ply / fingering weight.

NOTES
The Nettie scarf is worked from tip to tip in an allover mesh stitch pattern with slipped stitch edgings. On the first half, you increase stitches at the beginning of the row. Stitches are incorporated into the mesh pattern as you go.
Just before the halfway point, short rows are worked to create a boomerang shape. This helps the scarf to lie nicely around the neck. A tuck is worked at the centre point to echo the ‘outline’ created by the slipped stitch edgings. If working a two-tone version, colour is changed mid-way through this tuck.
Short rows are again worked at the beginning of the second half, before continuing to the other tip, this time working decreases.
