This is the pattern that I designed for Baa Baa Sheep, where I teach and sometimes work.

Do note that in the original print out, I have neglected to mention to change needle size after completing the seed stitch border and following knit round. This is now updated.

Neverita is named for my favorite shell, Neverita duplicata
or the Moon Shell which I sometimes collect while walking along the shore here in Norfolk, VA.

This funnel-shaped cowl was inspired by their egg casing, a curious find sometimes referred to as a sand collar.

Yarn: 2 skeins The Flying Kettle Caspertine DK, 80% SW Merino, 10% Cashmere,10% Nylon 231 yards per 100 g skein Shown in Mermaids Mirth
Gauge: 20 stitches and 28 rounds = 4 inches on larger needles and in both stockinette or lace pattern when blocked.
Suggested Needles: US6 and US4
Notions: Removable Stitch Markers, Cable Needle
Finished Dimensions: 25/27” around the top,
40/43” around the bottom, 14” deep
