This shawl pattern is designed using two stitches: an unusual Japanese mock cable and focal cable, which is very different from the Aran cables that we’re used to. It is combined with a simple ladder stitch. If you enjoy cable lace shawls, ou’ll enjoy knitting, wearing or gifting this shawl.

The shawl is made using light worsted weight yarn, and hence is warm as well as attractive.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of cable knitting).

Both stitches are charted ONLY.

This pattern was expertly test knitted Beverly Long who can be reached at: blong39@ hotmail.com. The yarn used in the sample is Malabrigo’s Rios yarn in colorway, Casapueblo.

The pattern is for sale here on Ravelry and in my Etsy Shop in the Shawls/Stoles/Scarves section (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WearableArtEmporium?section_id=…)
