“Ninfea” is a feminine sweater knit top-down in the round, in one piece and with no seaming.
Start by casting-on the stitches for the neckline and work a little twisted rib border; the work continues with a series of short rows to raise the back.
The yoke is very full and is knit in a lace stitch as it is shaped by a series of increases hidden in the stitch pattern.
At the end of the yoke, short rows are used to shape the shoulders and the back of the garment.
When the yoke is completed, the stitches for the sleeves are divided from the body and the three pieces are completed separately.
The sleeves are long and wide; all of the borders are also decorated with a narrow lace border that matches the lace stitch used for the yoke and they are trimmed with a narrow twisted rib stitch border.

Sizes:
XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL) to fit bust size 76 (86, 96, 106, 117, 127) cm – 30 (34, 38, 42, 46, 50) in.
If you want the same look as the model in the photograph, choose a size that is 9/13 cm – 3 ½ / 5 ¼ in larger than your actual bust measurement.

Yarn and needles:
ROWAN Kidsilk Haze: Peacock 671 (Lace weight yarn; 70% Mohair and 30% Silk: 209 m – 229 yds / 25 gr – 0.88 oz. ball): 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7) balls;
ROWAN Fine Lace: Aged 633 (Lace weight yarn; 80% Alpaca and 20% Merino: 399 m – 436 yds / 50 gr – 1.76 oz. ball): 3 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4) balls.
(906 976, 1060, 1197, 1300, 1400 m – 991 1068, 1160, 1310, 1422, 1532 yds each yarn).
Note: the yarns are worked held doubled.
Circular needles:
3 mm – US 2 ½ with a 40 cm – 16 in, 60 cm – 24 in and 80 cm – 32 in cable.
If necessary, please adjust needle size to obtain the specified gauge.
Other:
Tapestry needle and scissors.
1 stitch marker.
Waste yarn.
Pins and a tape measure for blocking.
Optional:
25 (27, 29, 31, 33, 35) stitchmarkers.

Gauge:
23 sts and 34 rows/rounds = 10 cm – 4 in in st st worked with the yarns held double (after blocking).

“Ninfea” è un maglione molto femminile dalla linea morbida lavorata dall’alto verso il basso in un unico pezzo e in tondo senza cuciture.
Si incomincia montando le maglie per il collo e lavorando un piccolo bordo a coste ritorte; si prosegue con una serie di ferri accorciati che ne alzano la parte dietro.
Lo sprone è lavorato con un motivo in pizzo ed è modellato da una serie di aumenti nascosti all’interno del motivo.
Alla fine dello sprone, si lavora un’altra serie di ferri accorciati per modellare le spalle e il dietro, quindi si dividono le maniche dal corpo e i tre pezzi sono completati separatamente lavorando a maglia rasata.
Le maniche sono lunghe al polso ed ampie.
Tutti i bordi sono decorati con un piccolo bordo in pizzo che richiama quello dello sprone e sono rifiniti da un piccolo bordo lavorato a coste ritorte.

Taglie:
XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL) vestono un giroseno di 76 (86, 96, 106, 117, 127) cm.
Quando si sceglie la taglia, bisogna considerare che la maglietta ha una linea comoda. Se desiderate la stessa vestibilità della modella in foto, dovrete scegliere una misura che sia di 9/13 cm circa
più ampia della misura del vostro attuale giroseno.
