From ‘Sweaters From The Seaton Collection’: “This pattern was inspired by an Ottoman embroidery. The flowers sprout from a ‘horn of plenty’, the ancient symbol of agricultural prosperity and wealth, or general good, easy living under a
sunny sky! I like the delicacy of the flowers in this design, the Islamic ‘moon and star’ motif that repeats on the back of the waistcoat – and the design’s overall light, summery feel.”
The vest employs 1 Main colour (A) and 13 Contrast colours (B – R). The actual yarns used are not mentioned in the pattern, only a suggested weight of yarn. There is also a black
colourway pullover version pictured in the pattern but the yarn details and graph patterns are not provided.
