Pattern & Construction Notes:
The left and right mitts are identical, and make the complete octopus across both forearms with palms held up. Designed to keep your hands cozy in the sub-Artic temperatures of your office in July, the Octopoda are slightly slouchy and provide full coverage from the elbows to your first knuckle.

Each mitt is worked in the round from the bottom up, from a knit two, purl one cuff one and a half times as many stitches as the pattern. The final round of the cuff decreases the purls via k2tog; except for the final purl stitch, which remains as a seam. The thumb split is worked using a modified phalangees technique; as is the split between the front and back fingers.

The Small/Medium and Medium/Large charts are different for the first 50 rows; and then a single chart makes the wrists and palms for both sizes.
