In the Pacific Northwest it’s all about the layers, baby! This cropped sweater lets you layer without obscuring the style underneath. It can add color and texture without being too warm. On the flip side when placed between inner and outer layers the mesh can trap warm air to keep you comfortable in brisk weather. The construction method is top-down with raglan sleeves. Since it is worked top-down it can be test fit while in progress. The chest circumference, overall length, and arm length can be adjusted to suit the maker’s tastes. The sweater has 4+ inches of positive ease in the chest and 2-4 inches of positive ease around the arms.

Note: If you are relatively new to Tunisian crochet I recommend checking out books, tutorials, and blog posts by Andrea Crețu (@ yarnandy.com), Toni Libsey (@ tlyarncrafts.com) and Laura (@ happyberry.co.uk) to learn more techniques, or inquire if your local shop hosts Tunisian crochet classes. Andrea has a blog post that does a great job of explaining this modified Tunisian Double Stitch method. https://yarnandy.com/can-you-make-filet-crochet-with-tuni..., 38, 42, 44, 48, 52, 56. See Note on next page for more sizing

One Skein is 100g, 3.25 oz, 200m, 219yds. Sample submission in a size Medium used approximately 620-630 Yards with approximately 30-40 yards of yarn left over.
Hook: Tunisian crochet corded hook in size US10.5, K, 6.5mm. A hook that uses interchangeable cords is recommended so you can use shorter cords when starting and for the sleeves (6 or 8 inch cord) and switch to a longer cord for the torso (10 or more inches). A 14 in. Tunisian straight crochet hook could be used, but the stitches will get rather crowded.
Gauge: 2.5 stitches per inch, 2.5 rows per inch.
