Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES:
A pair each of 3.5mm and 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4 and 6).

RECOMMENDED YARN:
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour.


NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle, toy filling, buttons, stitch markers, and soda bottle caps for the road signs and tree.

SIZES:
One size only - The play mat is 40cm x 40cm, cars 5cm tall x 7cm long, signpost 10cm tall, traffic light 9.5cm tall, tree 9cm tall, and traffic cones 4cm tall x 3.5cm wide.

TECHNIQUES:
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
