Pride Festival Bag
Carried on the shoulder or as a lanyard round the neck, this colourful bag will be handy holiday and festival favourite for stashing your passport or phone. This bag is knitted in a garter slip stitch pattern; with 2 colours this creates a pattern colourful dots, and also makes a textured dense fabric to protect your items from dings and bangs.
Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the bag is knitted in DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). The loop for the toggle is a single crochet chain worked on a hook, or you could use a length of yarn or ribbon instead.
NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4).
RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; up to 22g in each colour shade.
NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, crochet hook and a toggle button.
SIZES
One size only - The body of bag is 13cm wide x 16cm tall, and the strap is 65cm long (un-stretched).
TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off slipping stitches, and seaming to finish.
