Inspired by the rectangular shawl Aurora wears in her walk through the woods in Disney’s classic cartoon, this shawl stretches a single skein of fingering weight yarn into a whopping 60 inch wrap, complete with an edging of delicate, antique lace. The main portion of the shawl is stockinette bordered with broken stripes of garter stitch to prevent curling; it’s worked expeditiously on giant needles. Once bound off, stitches are picked up along one edge and the lace is knitted right onto the shawl, no seaming needed!
