Every librarian needs a cardigan (who doesn’t?). Kristen TenDyke’s Open Book Cardigan steps in, dressing up the librarian standby with long, flattering lines and ladylike picot edgings. The upside-down V-stitch pattern is reminiscent of a book placed open on the counter (perhaps the reader was interrupted by a patron who needed help?). The body is worked in one piece without shaping to the armholes and the sleeve stitches are picked up and knit down. Not only is there very little seaming, but the lengths of both body and sleeve can easily be adjusted to suit your height and style.
