The Oregon Lupine Shawl is a triangular, neck-down shawl with a center lace panel inspired by Kincaid’s Lupine - the unique, endangered species of lupine that grows wild in western Oregon. Its generous size makes it versatile to wear and helps it stay put on your shoulders or around your neck. Knit it, wear it, and think of flowers and butterflies.

Approximately 810 yards/740 meters meters fingering weight yarn. Shown in Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock Lightweight (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 405 yards/370 meters per 5.15 ounce/146 gram skein), Blue 4 Ewe.

Approximately 660 yards/604 meters sport weight yarn. Shown in Blue Moon Fiber Arts Silky Victoria (85% Polwarth, 15% Silk; 695 yards/636 meters per 8.50 ounce/241 gram skein), Leaping Lupine.

Finished Measurements:
Fingering and Sport weight: Width: 68”/173 cm from tip to tip. Length: 21”/53 cm at center. Measured after blocking.

Gauge:
Fingering weight: 24 stitches = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking.

Needles:
