Overbrook
Overbrook is part of the Neighborhood Knits: Shawls collection, four shawls inspired by Philadelphia neighborhoods.
Color and texture changes travel through this shawl, an asymmetrical triangle worked from tip to base: start with just one stitch and increase all the way to the end.
Garter stitch, eyelet and ridges are finished with a picot bind off.
The finished size has a wingspan of 62” and a back length of 26”, a generous size for wrapping around your shoulders.
A good project for the advanced beginner, basic knit and purl skills are built on with yarn overs to make the eyelet sections.
Needle size is US 5 (3.75mm).
Thanks to Katherine Vaughan for tech editing, and to Kristine Eng for her phtography.
