“Patricia” is a cabled, turban-style hat, one in a series of “chemo caps” designed for my Aunt Pat during her chemo treatments for breast cancer. She is a selfless, loving, woman…a beautiful writer…a wonderful teacher…a blessing to know and love. It was with great honor that I accepted these commisisons and really enjoyed thinking of her while making these hats. This is the one I love the most and she looked awesome in it! It’s also my favorite to wear on chilly days.

Style note: As usual, my nieces broaden my horizons! Little Anna (age 6), decided to put hers on sideways and it was ADORABLE. I’ve also started wearing it backwards when I have a low ponytail because the “turban tab”, which is usually centered at the forehead, allows a little bit of room for my hairband to sit without interfering with the hat.
