Pillows are worked flat in one piece and folded to form pillowcases. The Checkered Pillow uses the tapestry technique of changing colors. Each section of the pillow uses two colors. Hold both colors throughout each row, crocheting over the strand not in use. When changing from one color to another, work up to the final step in the old color, working the final pull-through in the new color.
