Pleats and Thank You was inspired by my desire to add more 3D effects to my knitting. ‘Can I make this happen? Can I try a new element and make it work in a design?’ Those were the thoughts running through my head as I designed Pleats and Thank You and added the welts to the project.

One of my favorite parts of designing is making the yarn shine perfectly with my project. Pleats and Thank You is a great way to use variegated yarn and make a color pop as the pleats! Pleats and Thank You can also be a stash buster with different leftover colors for the pleats!

900 yards (822 meters) of fingering weight yarn

NEEDLES
US 4 (3.5mm) / 32” (80cm needle) or longer

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle

GAUGE
24 stitches by 24 garter bumps = 4 inches (10 cm) in blocked garter

Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge if necessary!

SIZE
90” wide by 18” deep (229 cm wide by 46 cm deep) but easily customizable.
