Pomegranate Cardigan
The luxurious Pomegranate Cardigan is an impressive piece that features a “knotted” cable pattern down the center of the back. The lower body of this cardigan is worked back and forth in one piece from the bottom up. The shoulder stitches are joined to the sleeve saddle as it is worked.

Yarn Plymouth Yarn Baby Alpaca Grande (100% baby alpaca; 110 yd 101 m/3½ oz 100 g): #6095 Aster, 11 (12, 14, 15, 17) skeins.
Needles Size 8 (5 mm): 16” and 32” circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Size 7 (4.5 mm): set of dpn. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); removable m; stitch holders; cable needle (cn); size H/8 (5 mm) crochet hook; tapestry needle.
Gauge 14 sts and 20 rows = 4” in St st on larger needle.

NOTES
- The body of this cardigan is worked back and forth in one piece to the underarm, then the fronts and back are worked separately. The front and back shoulder stitches are kept live and joined to the saddle as it is worked. After the saddle is complete, the sleeve is worked in the round from the top down.
- A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
