The Portcullis Cowl is a short circular cowl, just perfect for throwing on around your neck, and letting it cuddle you in a cosy, warm knitted hug. It features two contrasting colours of squishy yarn, and an attractive banded design that enhances the elegance and line of your neck. It can be worn rolled, or standing up, depending on your mood, and it even looks pretty good inside out, giving you the chance of a whole new look!

The cowl is made with tuck stitches, which are a method of lifting strands of yarn up one or more rows, by wrapping them over your needles, and slipping the stitch below, elongating some stitches, squashing others together, and making an all-round comfort-fest of a cowl that once worn, you will never want to take off.
