Potter is a cosy textured cowl perfect for keeping you snug on a chilly day, as the double layer provides added warmth. The simple twist stitch — also used in the Beatrix vest — creates an intriguing surface pattern.

Susan Crawford Barn, 100% British wool, a unique blend of Jacob, white Shetland and black Shetland, DK weight (225 m / 246 yds per 100 g skein approx)

2 skeins, shade Puddle (grey) or Plum Jam (deep pink)

Or heavy DK-weight yarn as follows:
360 m / 394 yds in one shade

GAUGE
18 sts and 30 rounds = 10 cm / 4 in over stitch pattern, knitted in the round on smaller circular needle.

We obtained this gauge using 4.5 mm needles.

Small Needles: 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needle (40–60 cm / 16–24 in)
