The Prairie Blossom Bandana is a small triangle shawl perfect for adding a bit of warmth on a fall day. The bandana is knit bottom-up using slipped stitches combined with cables to create the floral motif. It is finished with an I-cord cast off for a smooth neck edge.

Yarn: Two colors of sport weight yarn approximately 200 yds / 183m each of MC and CC.

Yarns used for sample:

Version 1- MC: Holst Garn Supersoft in color 006 princess (50 g)
CC: Spincycle Dyed in the Wool in color Strawbaby (1 Skein)

Version 2-MC: Isager Spinni (Wool 1) in color 28 (held double) (2 Skeins)
CC: Spincycle Dyed in the Wool in color Snowcone (1 Skein)

Both samples were knit with the amount of yarn listed above. Your gauge will affect the amount of yarn used. You may want to consider purchasing extra yarn in to avoid running out.

Recommended Needles: US size 3 (3.25 mm) circular needle, two US size 4 (3.5 mm) DPNs

Finished size: 32 inch wingspan and 17 inches deep from center back to point. The sides of the bandana can be easily adjusted by increasing or decreasing the number of Chart 2 repeats.

Gauge: 28 stitches and 51 rows = 4 inches based on Chart 2 pattern repeat. (Gauge is not critical for this project but will affect yardage required.)
