Lichen est un pull qui se tricote du haut vers le bas en commençant par le devant. Il se caractérise par une encolure bateau qui se creuse à l’avant pour plus d’aisance au niveau du cou. Le corps est travaillé en aller-retour pour la partie haute des dos et devant, puis rejoint en rond juste après l’emmanchure jusqu’aux côtes de bas de pull. Les manches sont tricotées en rond après avoir relevé les mailles tout autour de l’emmanchure. Un jeu de rangs raccourcis est mis en place en début de manche afin de faire suivre l’arrondi de l’épaule et de lui donner un tombé plus doux. Dans la fiche, vous aurez le choix de faire des manches courtes pour un effet tee-shirt ou bien des manches ¾ pour un pull de mi-saison.

Lichen is a garment that is knitted from the top down, starting with the front. The boat neckline is worked with short rows in order to deepen the collar on the front. The body is worked back and forth for the upper portions of the back and front, then joined in the round just past the armhole until the bottom hem of the sweater. The sleeves are knitted in the round after you have picked up stitches all around the armhole. A series of short rows are worked at the beginning of the sleeve to follow the curve of the shoulder and give it a softer drape. In the pattern, you’ll have the option to make short sleeves for a T-shirt look or ¾-length sleeves for a mid-season sweater.
