This neck gaiter is a combination neck warmer & scarf for children. It’s easy to put on and won’t fall off like a standard scarf can (especially on active kids!). The tube section can be pulled up over the mouth and nose or folded down to make a thick turtleneck collar. At the bottom of the tube section is an attached wrap-around ‘scarf’ that buttons closed and tucks under your coat collar to form a cozy barrier against the cold winter wind.

Quick and easy to make; takes approximately 3.5 - 4 ounces of worsted weight yarn, H hook and two 3/4” buttons. This pattern uses basic stitches – chains, single crochet, half-double crochet and slip stitches. Foundation single crochet stitches are also used; directions given in the pattern and a link to a video tutorial is also provided.
