Raili is a raglan shaped pullover with allover cable pattern. It is worked from the top down starting from the neckline ribbing.

After finishing the neck ribbing worked with 2 x 2 Rib St, it is time to work in an easy and rhythmic cable pattern and at the same time shape the yoke by increasing stitches for a raglan construction. After the shoulder and underarm shaping, the body and sleeves are separated. From now on it is just simply repeating cables all the way to the hem and cuffs. The hemline and cuffs are finished with the same ribbing pattern as the neckline.

GAUGE

26 sts and 34 Rnds using 3.5 mm US 4 needle = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4” over Cable Pattern.
Note! You may use Chart C or D for swatching. They are showing a full pattern repeat.
It is important to make a swatch to obtain the right gauge because your gauge will define the final measurements of the garment. If you get too many sts per 10 cm 4”, change to a bigger needle or if there are too few sts, try to work with a little bit smaller needle.

NEEDLES

3.5 mm US 4 and 2.75 mm US 2 long circular needle 80-100 cm 32-40”.
The pattern is written for using a long circular needle and the Magic Loop technique for the sleeves and collar, but you could also use 3.5 mm US 4 and 2.75 mm US 2 DPNs or a shorter circular needle for those parts.
