Raindrops to Rainbows
This garter stitch cowl has a repeating pattern of raised ribs in different lengths that remind me of raindrops.
The cowl is knit in the round on circular needles to eliminate seaming in the final step.
Nearly an entire skein of Malabrigo Arroyo in the colorway Arco Iris was used to make the cowl in the photos. This pattern is a great one to use with highly variegated yarns since the “raindrops” or raised ribs pop and stand out against the monotony of a garter stitch background. It also works well with solid and semi-solid yarns as well as other yarn weights. Just keep in mind that the thicker the yarn you use, the larger your cowl will be.
We now also have a matching beanie hat pattern to go with this cowl: Raindrops to Rainbows Hat.
