Rainfall is a beginner-friendly blanket that allows the knitter to focus on the meditative combinations of knits and purls while sharpening the ability to read the knitted fabric as you work—a great skill for any knitter to practice. Inspired by the backdrop of steady rainfall that accompanies life in Oregon, the vertical chains of stockinette diamonds descend a pebbly background of squishy moss stitch. Presented with four sizes, the design is easily customizable by adding or subtracting pattern repeats in easy-to-sub increments. Working with a soft and luxurious merino, you may find that you enjoy the soothing process of making this blanket as much as you’ll enjoy snuggling down beneath it when it’s complete.
