The Rainline Socks are worked seamlessly from the cuff down, combining textured details with a comfortable and structured sock construction. The cuff is knit in a contrasting color using a K3, P1 rib, providing elasticity and a neat, stable edge.

At the top of the leg, a textured raindrop stitch pattern is introduced. This motif is created by dropping stitches and pulling the working yarn through the laddered stitches, forming raised drops that resemble falling raindrops. After this section, the leg continues in a P3, K1 rib pattern, which visually echoes the look of falling rain and creates a flexible, textured fabric.

The heel uses a Strong Heel construction. The heel section is worked in 1x1 ribbing, which blends naturally with the surrounding main pattern. The heel turn is worked in reverse stockinette stitch, which then continues along the sole for durability and comfort. The instep continues in the same P3, K1 rib pattern, maintaining visual continuity.

The socks are finished with a contrasting-color toe, worked in reverse stockinette, shaped with classic decreases, and closed using grafting for a smooth, seamless finish.

For this design, using two complementary colors is recommended to highlight the texture and structure of the stitches.

Materials
Yarn: Fingering-weight sock yarn in two complementary colors.
MC: approximately 225 (275, 345) m.
CC: approximately 55 (65, 75) m.
Yardage may vary if your gauge/yarn is different.
Gauge: 30 sts & 40 rounds = 10 cm in reverse stockinette stitch, worked in the round.
Needles:
2.25 mm DPNs (or a long circular needle for the Magic Loop method)
Or adjust needle size to meet gauge
