This two-color asymmetrical, curved triangle shawl begins at one narrow end and increases to the border. Broad bands of garter stitch are separated by graphic rippling sections that remind me of a rambling path. The name was inspired while visiting my sister in England. We were walking in the charming village of Etton, not far from her home, and our “ramble” made me think of the new shawl design that was currently on my needles. We decided then and there that this shawl would be named Ramble Round Etton.

Ramble Round Etton may be worked in any weight yarn, but keep in mind that the heavier the yarn, the more yarn you will need.

The sample shawl used most of the entire skein of MC and approximately 210 yards of CC of Uncommon Threads Posh Fingering.

Be sure to allow extra. Amount of yarn needed will vary with slight differences in personal gauge, yarn weight, fiber, and brand (even within same yarn weight category).
