Redwood Shawl
Inspired by the deep groves with the ancient barks of Redwood trees. The textured eyelet body is knit using purl stitches, while depth is added with subtle garter stitch striping.
Finished Measurements: Wingspan x depth at centre after wet blocking: 21” x 74” / 53.5 x 188 cm
Yarn: MC- 425 yds / 390 m CC- 95 yds / 85 m in fingering wt yarn. Sample knit in 75 / 25 Sock By Lizzie -Anne Yarns in MC- Redwood, CC in Terra Cotta. In solid 520 yds / 475 m
Size: US size 6 /4 mm, long circular needle for holding a large number of sts.
Notions: Tapestry needle, 1 stitch marker, blocking wires optional
Gauge: 18 sts = 4” / 10 cm in Open Lace Stitch after wet blocking (gauge is not overly important; however, it will alter yardage and finished measurements).
Skill Level: Adventurous Beginner
Notes: Top down triangle shawl with striped garter edge. Adjustable by working body to desired depth.
