Refined Raglan
’Mercedes Tarasovich-Clark finds beauty in the details. The eyelet stitch pattern that follows the raglan line of her simple pullover is a good example of how effective a single decorative element can be on an otherwise unembellished sweater. She based the proportions of her funnel-neck sweater on Elizabeth Zimmerman’s percentage system - see Elizabeth Zimmermann's Knitting Workshop (Schoolhouse Press, 1981. The yarn, a plush alpaca blend, shows off the clean lines of the pullover and highlights the wavy lines in the stitch pattern.
Sizes: 33 1/4 (37 1/4, 41 1/4, 45 1/4, 49 1/4)” finished bust circumference, shown in 37 1/4” size.
