Pattern Construction
Retreat Tee is a DK weight circular-yoke sweater designed to fit with 4” / 10 cm positive ease at the chest for a relaxed fit. This pattern is worked seamlessly from the top down, allowing you to try it on as you go and easily adjust the finished length to your preference. German short rows are incorporated below the neckline to raise the back of the neck slightly for a comfortable fit.

Retreat Tee is adorned with a stranded-colorwork yoke and Herringbone stitch collar. This pattern includes a high-hip body length and short sleeves.

Suggested Needles & Notions
Needle sizes listed are suggestions. Use sizes necessary to achieve specified gauge.

• Needle A - US 8 / 5 mm, 16” & 32” / 40 & 80 cm (or longer) circular needles or size needed for Stockinette Stitch gauge; DPNs or circular needle in preferred length for working Magic Loop method for small circumference (Body and Sleeves)

• Needle B - US 9 / 5.5 mm (one size larger than Needle A) or size needed to achieve Stranded colorwork gauge, 16” & 32” / 40 & 80 cm (or longer) circular needles; DPNs or circular needle in preferred length for working Magic Loop method for small circumference

• Needle C - US 7 / 4.5 mm (one size smaller than Needle A) or size needed to achieve Twisted Ribbing gauge, 32” / 80 cm (or longer) circular needles (Hem and Cuffs)

• Needle D - US 10.5 / 6.5 mm or size needed for Herringbone stitch gauge, 16” / 40 cm circular needles or DPNs (Collar)

Note!** I suggest interchangeable needles for Herringbone Stitch, to enable you to use a smaller size left-hand needle, which will not affect the gauge but will make the Herringbone Stitch easier to work.*

• Distinct BOR marker plus 12 (13, 15, 16, 17) (18, 20, 21, 22, 23) additional markers to separate colorwork pattern repeats
• Scrap yarn / stitch holders to hold stitches
• Removeable markers (optional) to track rounds worked
• Scissors
• Darning needle
• Blocking mat and pins
