Reverso
Reverso is a top-down, circular yoke sweater with a two colors simple stranded motif that makes it suitable for those approaching the technique for the first time.
It features fitted body and sleeves; German short rows are used to raise the back neck after the yoke motif is completed and before body and sleeves separation.
Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8), corresponding to finished bust size 31 (33.75, 36.25, 39, 41.75, 44, 48, 50.5)“ / 79 (86, 92, 99, 106, 112, 122, 128) cm.
Approx. 0-2” / 0-5 cm positive ease recommended at bust.
Shown in size 2 with approximately 0.75” / 2 cm negative ease.
Gauge: 20 sts and 27 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch with larger needles, after wet blocking.
Materials
Yarn: DK weight yarn in the following quantities:
C1: 230 (230, 260, 270, 290, 320, 350, 400) meters / 250 (250, 285, 295, 320, 350, 385, 438) yards
C2: 575 (625, 670, 720, 760, 800, 820, 920) meters / 630 (680, 730, 785, 830, 875, 895, 1005) yards
Please consider that these quantities are only estimated and any difference in gauge or modification to measures may affect the needed yardage.
Yarn used in the sample:
Laines du Nord Merino Yak (70% Merino Wool, 15% Alpaca, 15% Yak; 115 m (126 yards) / 50 gr; colours: 7 (petrol) for C1; 1 (beige) for C2.
Needles: US size 4 (3.5 mm) and size 5 (3.75 mm): 16” / 40 cm and 24” / 60 cm or longer circular for Body; US size 5 (3.75 mm): DPNs or 40” / 100 cm circular for Sleeves.
Notions: cable needle (optional); removable markers; waste yarn; tapestry needle.
