The Reynard and Vixen Hat is designed as a complementary accessory to the Reynard and Vixen Pullover and Reynard and Vixen Mittens.
Unfortunately, the company that created the yarn used in this pattern is closing this year (2026). To find a substitute look for a fingering weight yarn with a similar fibre content and yardage/100 grams and allows you to achieve the gauge listed in the
Pattern. Small Fish Yarns of Alberta has colours that are very close to the ones I used in the pattern: Auburn and Sand Dunes.

Circumference (not stretched, after blocking): 16½ (20, 23¼) inches/ 41.25 (50, 58) cm
Height: 7½ (7½, 8½) inches/ 19 (19, 21) cm

Gauge (In stranded pattern, in the round, after blocking)
30 sts x 36 rows = 4 inches (10 cm)

Yarn Requirements (Please note that yardage is estimated and can vary between knitters and yarn used.)
MC (off white): 98 (126, 133) yds/ 90 (115, 122) m
CC (reddish brown): 66 (79, 92) yds/ 61 (72, 84) m

Needles
Ribbing: US2/ 2.75mm - 16 inch (40cm) circular needle or dpns depending on preference for in the round knitting
Main: US3/ 3.25mm - 16 inch (40cm) circular needle and preferred needles for small circumference knitting
