The airiness of this pullover comes from the semi-lace ribbed stitch pattern, which makes it lightweight and drapey—the perfect year-round sweater. The fabric opens up when worn, lending curves to the drop-shoulder design. The sweater is worked from side to side, with the front and back made as one piece; the sleeves are crocheted separately lengthwise.

NOTES

  • Sweater is worked sideways. Front and back are worked as one piece first, then separated for neck, and then joined together again. Sleeves are worked separately and sewed on. Rib edging is added at the end. A chain strap is worked across shoulders on WS to prevent excessive stretching.
  • All sizes are the same length from the front hem, over the shoulder to the back hem.
  • Bust sizing is based on the number of rows worked for each size.
  • When working odd rows, make sure half double crochet groups align with groups 2 rows below.
