# R I B B C A P

A classic knitted beanie in soft cashmere together with one strand kid silk to get that fluffy halo on the surface. You can work the beanie without kid silk if you want to, use 3 mm needles in that case and work one size up. Knitted beanies stretch over time with wear, you can choose to work an elastic thread with as a third strand in the cuff to get a beanie that keeps its shape. If you add an elastic thread, add it after you have casted on all stitches.

Size: kids (woman) man (XL)

Yarn: 2 balls á 25 g Cardiff Cashmere 6/28, made in Italy or Lang Yarns Cashmere Premium.
1 ball Lang Yarns Mohair Luxe

Alternative Yarn: You can switch the cashmere to another yarn in DK weight, for example Sandnes Garn DUO, 2 skeins á 50 g.

Needles: 3.5 mm circular needles 40 cm. 3.5 mm double pointed needles or magic loop for the top.

Gauge: 23 sts = 10 cm on 3.5 mm needles in ribbing.
With a single strand of DUO on 3 mm needles = 30 sts unstretched.

Cashmere stretches with wear and wash so the gauge you get whilst knitting should be a few stitches tighter than the listed gauge that is for the finished product after wash.
