Dimension:
Finished measurements for shawl following pattern:
From point to point: 39 inches by 39 inches by 67 inches.
From bottom point to center top: 24 inches tall.
Notes:
CH 1 in beginning of RND does not count as a ST.
CH 3 counts as a DC in beginning of Row.
This is an advanced beginner pattern.
This shawl starts from the bottom up working side to side until desired height and width of shawl. Once achieved we than we will work the 3-row border.
The body of the shawl uses a sequence of stitches called the Raised Ripple ST. It achieves all the texture of the raised STS on one side and a smooth surface on the other. For best results, steam block or wash shawl to relax your tension from your worked STS.
Every other row there will be a 6 ST increase starting on Row 3 and until desired height.
The Ripple in Time Shawl is perfect for Spring and Fall, opt for a cotton yarn for a lighter shawl for Summer evenings and days.
