Head to the forests of Nottingham in search of this merry crew.

Taking in a pantomime show is a Christmas tradition for many families, and I have chosen a few of my favourite characters for this year’s Panto season. The cast of this Pantomime includes Robin Hood, Maid Marian and Friar Tuck.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the dolls are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES:
A pair of 3mm single pointed knitting needles (US 2.5).

RECOMMENDED YARN:
Yarnsmiths Create DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; One 100g/290m skein in each colour.

NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle, toy filling, plus buttons, and beads for features and decoration. Friar Tuck’s staff is made from a cylindrical lollipop stick.

SIZES:
One size only - From 14.5cm to 17cm tall. Heights of each toy are Robin Hood 17cm, Friar Tuck 14.5cm and Maid Marian 14.5cm.

TECHNIQUES:
For confident beginners/intermediate and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, knitting stripes, and mattress stitch seaming and embroidery to finish.
