CONSTRUCTION OF THE DESIGN
The vest is worked flat top-down with lace weight yarn held double. You begin by working the back neck in Stockinette Stitch and shape the shoulders using European Shoulder construction. After the shoulder shaping, you continue working toward the underarm, incorporating increases to shape the armholes.

Next, the live stitches of the back panel are placed on hold and you begin working on the front panels while shaping the V-neckline. Once the neckline shaping is complete, you continue working the front panels in Stockinette Stitch towards the underarm, including increases for armhole shaping. The front and back panels are then joined using additional cast-on stitches at the underarm. The body is worked flat, continuing in the Stockinette Stitch. After completing the main body, you finish with twisted ribbing for the hem.

The armholes are also finished with i-cord edges and the button band is worked in double knit. Lastly, you can work optional textured pockets separately and sow them to the front panels (not shown in the photos).
