Jenny Ansah is an Afro-Finnish knitwear designer who lives in eastern Helsinki located in Finland. Jenny was introduced to knitting by her grandmother at a young age but she wasn’t keen to it at first because of its slow phase. As the years went on Jenny began to knit again. In her second year of studies in university she began to use knitting as a means to make her wardrobe more sustainable and more personalized.

Jenny describes her simplistic design style as nature inspired with a twist (stitch). She loves comfortable and relaxed garments with different textures paired with simple Stockinette Stitch. Her go-to color palettes vary from earthy and moody to pastels, but she doesn’t mind the thought of one day adding a bright or neon coloured pullover to her collection!
