Rosebuds & Lace Fingerless Mitts
These fingerless mitts are part of The Rosebuds & Lace Suite, which consists of matching hat, cowl, and fingerless mitts.
The mitts are constructed from the bottom up, and in the round, beginning with a simple variation of Old Shale lace. This creates a long elegant cuff that shows beautifully when worn outside the cuff of a sweater or jacket. Then the cabled “rosebuds” are done on the back of the hand.
The mitts use approximately 110 yards (for the pair) of a light worsted weight yarn, using either US size 7 (4.5 mm) or 8 (5.0 mm) circular or double pointed needles. The pair shown were created with Ella Rae Classic Superwash.
The pattern has a chart for the lace section, with written directions, and a complete chart for each hand (L and R), also with written directions.
