This beret pattern was a “Mystery Twit-A-Long” which happened November 20 to December 12, 2019 on Twitter. You can still play along after-the-fact by following the pattern link from this page, and getting started - it leads to the tweet which is the beginning of the thread. (Note that the main tweet links out to two subthreads: the first subthread (“GOT QUESTIONS?”) is for the FAQ for the Twit-A-Long, and the second (“Basic info…”) is for the pattern itself.)

(The idea of the “Mystery Twit-A-Long” was that you wouldn’t know what you’re making, and the pattern instructions were given out bit-by-bit on Twitter. Participants followed along with their knitting, and watched what took shape!)
