We recently adopted a lovable and playful poodle mix puppy. Calvin immediately named her Ruby. Ruby, like me, is a fan of all thing COZY. In the process of knitting this design, she claimed it for herself while it was still on my knitting needles. Trying to turn rows on a gigantic blanket with a 50 pound dog on your lap is not an easy task, but I did it! Knit in two shades of Hobbii Yarn Peacock, this easy to care for polyester yarn is soft and plush — I can see why Ruby is obsessed! Happy knitting!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

NEEDLES: Size 10 (6.00 mm) 60” circular knitting needles (or size to obtain gauge)

YARN: Bulky Weight - 1,600 yds (1463 m)
Suggested Yarn: Hobbii Peacock Yarn - 100% polyester / 71 yds (65 m) / 100g (3.5 oz)

Colors used in sample: Rose 12 skeins + Light Grey 11 skeins

NOTIONS: Stitch marker, large eye tapestry needle, scissors. Optional: coordinating thread and sewing needle

GAUGE: 4” x 4” / 10 cm x 10 cm: 9.25 sts x 18.5 rows in garter stitch

FINISHED SIZE: Approximately 60.5” x 60.5” / 153.5 cm x 153.5 cm
