The Rugged Ridge Hat (worked flat) is a sibling pattern of the Rugged Edge Hat (worked in the round). Purchasers of either one will receive both patterns.

Two sizes - this hat is very stretchy:

  • Adult small has finished circumference of approximately 16”/40 cm and fits heads up to 22”/55 cm, with hat height 8.25”/ 0.5 cm
  • Adult large has finished circumference of approximately 18”/45 cm and fits heads up to 24.5”/61 cm, with hat height 9.5”/24 cm

Yarn: DK-weight yarn, also known as 8 ply or size 3. You will need approximately 75 (85) grams /175 (190) yards/ 160 (175) meters of main color and several yards/ meters of contrast color.

Needles and supplies: US 6/4.0 mm or size needed to achieve gauge. This hat is worked flat.

Notions: Marker for beginning of round plus 6 (7) additional markers; tapestry needle to weave in ends.

Gauge: 22 stitches and 28 rows to 4” in stockinette stitch.
