What could be cuter than a plump snail with a multi colored shell? Maybe two of them! This is a great project for people who are still new to making amigurumi. The pattern has basic sc stitches (in the round and flat), basic increasing and decreasing with an added element of changing colors. There is a brief explanation of how to change colors in the pattern, but for a more detailed tutorial there are some great videos on youtube that clearly show the technique.

This is a written pattern that also contains progression photos to help with sewing the snail together. The final object measures approx. 3.5 inches tall and 5 inches in length.

For this project you will need:
worsted weight yarn
a G hook
split stitch markers
a tapestry needle
9 mm safety eyes (unless you choose to create yarn eyes)
